LB Underground Service Locators provide sub-surface detection services to detect buried natural and liquid gas, telecommunications, water, power, drainage, and civil works. Before any kind of excavation or ground penetration work commences services locators should be consulted.
We use modern non-destructive techniques to determine the location of power cables, gas mains, telecommunications cables and water mains.
LB Underground Service locators also offer leak detection, pipe locating, sewer location, and storm water drain locations. Location of underground assets can be undertaken for third party contractors and construction consultants, as well as residential clients.
Underground service location is not only used to prevent damage to cables, pipes and other services, but also to allow contractors and maintenance workers to locate particular services which are to be tapped into. All forms of detection are carried out using non-destructive means.

Locator Technician & Mechanical Engineer
Lindsay is a highly skilled worker with professional experience and technical qualifications spanning 20 plus years. With a Mechanical Engineering degree and in-depth experience, transitioning into the utility locating industry was very smooth.
Lindsay has completed comprehensive locator training with JB Hunter – which is the highest industry standard available endorsed by NULCA – combined with Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) accreditation. Mentored by leading industry experts with over 25 years experience, this places Lindsay in good stead to carry out all your locating needs.
Lindsay is formally accredited through, and a member of; the National Utility Locating Contractors Association (www.nulca.com.au) and as an accredited Locator by DBYD, we are a Certified Locating Organisation.

Office Management
Tiarry has over 20 years experience in Business Management and Government Services with formal educational qualifications from Box Hill and Hunter Institute of TAFE. Having grown up in a family ran service locations business, this industry has always been a part of life and has created a formidable passion for the delivery of exceptional services.
Having direct input into the service offer clients receive is exciting! and L B Underground Service Locations & Engineering will ensure that we deliver on our commitments, by providing the highest standard of service with qualified and experienced staff.
Tiarry’s aim is to bring together qualified and experienced managers and mechanical engineers into the asset locations industry to deliver a higher standard of expertise and problem solving that ensures jobs are completed accurately, safely and on time.

Our Origins
We are a family owned and operated business based in the western suburbs of Melbourne with a combined 20+ years industry experience. We have strong connections throughout greater Melbourne and regional Victoria, having committed to building lasting relationships based on trust and sound advice for our clients to provide the best possible service.
Our Location technician is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with DBYD locator certification, offering a wealth of professional industry knowledge and experience. All staff are Working with Children’s and Police checked to provide full confidence and trust for our clients and the community at the highest possible standards.
Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 with Nationally recognised First Aid & CPR certificates, we have full professional insurances, and work to the highest standards of safety in line with Workcover and AS/NZS4801.
